Today: Prof. David Francis unveils landmark book on 50 years of China-Sierra Leone relations

Former Chief Minister of Sierra Leone, Professor David John Francis, will today unveils his groundbreaking book, “China-Sierra Leone Relations: Friendship, Cooperation & Win-Win Diplomacy,” in a prestigious launch event at the Chinese Embassy in Freetown.

The book titled “China-Sierra Leone Relations: Friendship, Co-operation & win-win Diplomacy” will be launched on the 8th. Jan. 2025 , at the Chinese Embassy in Freetown.

My book chapter contribution, titled “China-Sierra Leone Political, Economic & Development Engagements,” encapsulates the Dip. Relations between the two countries for 50 years on the global stage guided by conceptual and ideological frameworks.

The chapter also highlights Sierra Leone’s audacious support & co-sponsorship of UNSC Res. 2758 which recognized the legitimacy of PRC over China in the UN and her reinstatement to the UNSC with full veto powers. The historic support continues to strengthen the bonds of friendship and Special Relationship between the two countries.
