It was another thrilling match day weekend in the ongoing Leone Rock Sierra Leone Premier League with exciting display and result.
We startedlast Sunday in Port Loko at the City playing ground where the host, Bai Bureh Warriors FC added their own mess to the Pool by thumping Mighty Blackpool 4-1.
Still struggling to for a grip in the league, the Tiss Tass boys suffered heavily to the Warriors.
This performance not only highlights the Warriors’ growth but also sets a positive tone for their upcoming fixtures.
For Mighty Blackpool, the match served as a wake-up call. Despite their historical advantage, they struggled to contain the Warriors’ attacks and found it challenging to penetrate their defense.

Elswhere, the league leaders Bhantal FC and reigning champions Bo Rangers FC settled for a goalless draw at the Approved school playing field in Freetown.
Despite maintaining their unbeaten streak which now extends to 10 matches, the draw however did not affect last season’s runners-up lead at the top of the table as second place Wilberforce Strikers remained with 19 points despite losing 2-0 to Old Edwardians.
The first half saw Bhantal attempting to break the deadlock through quick counter-attacks, but Bo Rangers’ defense remained organized and thwarted any potential breakthroughs. In the second half, it was the visitors, Bo Rangers who increased their offensive pressure, aiming to capitalize on set-piece situations forcing Bhantal’s goalkeeper to make crucial saves to keep the scoreline intact.
In Freetown, nine-man Old Edwardians side beat Wilberforce Strikers 2-0 on Sunday to make progress at the top of the table moving all the way tofourth place in the log.
Michael Kargbo and Michael Sesay both received their matching order for the May Park Boys’ before teammate Umaru Fofanah’s 52nd minute striker gave them the lead with Kassimu Kallon who later sealed the win for them.
In Kono, Diamond Stars punched newcomers Abacha City for four to climb up to seven with the visitors staying at eight.
