Justice Alusine Sesay (JSC) has sentenced 35-year-old Alie Koroma to 24 months imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to fraudulently converting Le 36 million worth of Johnson’s baby lotion.

The offense occurred on October 1, 2021, in Freetown, where Koroma conspired with unknown individuals.

In delivering the sentence, Justice Sesay acknowledged that Koroma was a first-time offender and had shown remorse by pleading guilty without wasting the court’s time.

Defense lawyer C. Tucker, from the Legal Aid Board, pleaded for leniency, noting that Koroma had learned from his mistake during his time in the Male Correctional Centre.

Justice Sesay handed down the 24-month sentence, including time already served, and ordered Koroma to pay compensation to the complainant after completing his sentence.
