East End Lions and Kallon FC faced off at the Approved school playing field in Freetown with the Killers continuing their excellent form, thanks to an own goal from Hassan Milla Koroma.
Despite a strong response from FC Kallon, the Lions regained control with stunning long-range throws from defender maestro, Abdul Razak Conteh.
The win saw East End Lions maintain their second position in the log.
Elswhere, league leaders, Bhantal FC maintained their lead despite their goalless draw against struggling Lauwa FC.
Wilberforce Strikers remained hot on their heels in third place with 23 points, while FC Kallon were defeated by East End Lions, maintaining the pressure on Bhantal FC.
East End Lions are in the second position with 25 points. These results underscored the league’s competitiveness and the slim margins that could determine the eventual champion.
The clash between Wilberforce Strikers and Star Sports Academy was a tactical battle that unfolded in front of a vigorous crowd. Wilberforce Strikes managed to secure a narrow 1-0 victory thanks to a late goal from their young forward, Osman Kargbo. Mohamed A. Mansaray’s goal separated the two sides early in the first half to give the host but everything changed during the second half of the match when their outstanding player Melo Camara changed the face of the match, winning man of the match and led his team to a 1-4 score win.
