The 2024/25 Leone Rock Premier League continue with an exhilarating display over the weekend offering fans a fresh dose of excitement, surprises, and high-quality football.
East End Lions and Kallon FC faced off at the Approved school playing field in Freetown with the Killers continuing their excellent form, thanks to an own goal from Hassan Milla Koroma.
Despite a strong response from FC Kallon, the Lions regained control with stunning long-range throws from defender maestro, Abdul Razak Conteh.
The win saw East End Lions maintain their second position in the log.
Elswhere, league leaders, Bhantal FC maintained their lead despite their goalless draw against struggling Lauwa FC.
Wilberforce Strikers remained hot on their heels in third place with 23 points, while FC Kallon were defeated by East End Lions, maintaining the pressure on Bhantal FC.
East End Lions are in the second position with 25 points. These results underscored the league’s competitiveness and the slim margins that could determine the eventual champion.
The clash between Wilberforce Strikers and Star Sports Academy was a tactical battle that unfolded in front of a vigorous crowd. Wilberforce Strikes managed to secure a narrow 1-0 victory thanks to a late goal from their young forward, Osman Kargbo.
