Late President Joseph Momoh’s Wife instills hopes in deprived women

In African, women are key agents of change and development in most countries. They are not only serving as mothers, but also complementing the efforts of government in providing the much needed facilities for marginalized and deprived communities.

In Sierra Leone, one prominent woman that is inspiring girls and the youths is Fatmata Nipe Sow Momoh, the wife of former President Joseph Saidu Momoh. Her activities to transform lives through various initiatives: humanitarian work for the deprived, healthcare, and community development make her an icon of inspiration.

Mrs Fatmata Nipe Sow Momoh  is a household name among the disable community in the country as she does not only interact with them but also contributes to their developmental aspirations.

She is a beacon of hope to many communities as Mrs Momoh continues to champion sustainable economic opportunities for women across Sierra Leone. Under her leadership, the organization has grown to over one thousand members, supporting initiatives that uplift trading communities and foster financial independence.

It must also be noted that she is among the brains behind the formation of Coalition for Former President Wives in Africa that is geared towards a platform that will work with governments in various countries to embark on development initiatives and promote peace and unity in the region.

Speaking to one of the Disable that continues to benefit from the gesture of Mrs Momoh, he commended her for her strides in proving their basic needs and giving them hope that all is not lost and can still make it in live with hard work.

A young business woman noted that before this time things were very difficult for her, not no sooner she joined one of the business groups that received loan for Madam Momoh’s  iniitiave and went through training on managing Micro finance business, she has been doing extremely well and prayed that God will continue to guide her in her undertakings.
