In preparation for the highly anticipated Healing Jesus Campaign slated for April 29 to May 3, 2025, at the Freetown Teachers’ Training College Field in Jui, members of the Executive and Central Planning Committees have launched a series of courtesy visits to key government institutions and stakeholders across the capital.

Spearheaded by the Body of Christ in Sierra Leone, the crusade is expected to attract thousands of participants from across the country and beyond, offering five days of intense spiritual revival under the leadership of internationally renowned healing evangelist Dag Heward-Mills.

In the past week, the organizing committees have engaged with institutions including the Freetown City Council, Western Area Rural District Council, the Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs, the Sierra Leone Police, the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces, and State House. According to Bishop Abu Fedrick Sidikie Koroma, Chairman of the Executive Committee, these engagements aim to formally inform the government of the upcoming event and foster collaboration on logistics, public mobilization, and security.

“This crusade is not just a religious gathering; it is a divine visitation for Sierra Leone,” Bishop Koroma emphasized. “We expect physical and spiritual healing, unity among churches, moral revival, and the empowerment of Christian leaders nationwide.”

Founded in 2004 by Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills, the Healing Jesus Campaign has conducted over 250 large-scale crusades across 38 countries, resulting in more than 10.5 million documented decisions for Christ. A trained medical doctor, Evangelist Heward-Mills is also the founder of the United Denominations Originating from the Lighthouse Group of Churches (UDOLGC)—a global network comprising over 4,000 churches.

His ministry is globally acclaimed for its powerful biblical teachings, healing miracles, and focus on developing spiritual leadership. Crusades under his leadership have featured awe-inspiring testimonies, including the blind regaining sight and the chronically ill being healed.

Bishop Akitayo Jolly, Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, outlined the program of events. He announced that nightly revival meetings will commence at 5:00 PM daily at the campaign grounds in Jui. Additionally, a three-day Pastors and Leaders Conference will be hosted from April 30 to May 2 at Flaming Evangelical Ministries on Syke Street, running from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. These sessions are aimed at equipping church leaders with deeper biblical knowledge and spiritual empowerment for impactful ministry.

Speaking to the media, Schwarts Ebo Ankrah, International Director for Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills, stressed the importance of the committee’s engagements with government bodies. He highlighted that such collaborations are crucial for raising awareness and securing the institutional support needed for a successful campaign.

“While healing and miracles are expected,” Mr. Ankrah stated, “our primary mission is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The campaign is strictly non-denominational and welcomes people from all walks of life.”

Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills is expected to arrive in Freetown on April 28 and remain until May 5, during which the campaign will focus entirely on evangelism, healing, and spiritual revival.

This marks the second time the Healing Jesus Campaign will be held in Freetown, and organizers are confident that this year’s event will see record-breaking attendance, fueled by intensified media outreach across radio, television, newspapers, and digital platforms.

As the countdown continues, organizers are urging all Sierra Leoneans—regardless of denomination or background—to attend and experience the power of God.

“This is your moment, Sierra Leone,” Bishop Koroma declared with passion. “Come expecting a miracle. Come expecting healing. Come expecting salvation. We believe God for a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the transformation of our nation.”
