Rashid Fefegula, 31, made another court appearance before Magistrate Santigie Bangura at Pademba Road Court No. 2 in Freetown on a charge of cyberbullying, contrary to Section 44(1)(b) of the Cyber Security and Crime Act 2021 (Act No. 7 of 2021).

According to the prosecution, on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in Freetown, Fefegula used his WhatsApp account (+232789292492) to post stalking and bullying text messages in a group titled Eastern Region Football Association (E.R.S.A).

Those messages, allegedly disseminated via a computer system or network, were intended to damage the character of Babadi Kamara and could likely cause apprehension and provoke a breach of the peace.

During the court session, the complainant’s lawyer, M. Mewa Esq., informed the court that the accused was absent and applied for a bench warrant to be issued against both the accused and his sureties.

Magistrate Bangura granted the application and issued a bench warrant against Fefegula and his sureties.

The case has been adjourned to March 5, 2025, for further hearing.
