Explore Sierra Leone unveils Salone Fest 2024

Explore Sierra Leone, in partnership with Golden Beach Hotel, officially launched the 2024 edition of Salone Festival last Wednesday at the Golden Beach Hotel on Lumley Beach Road, Freetown.

Scheduled for December 28-29, the festival promises a vibrant celebration of Sierra Leone’s music, arts, and culture.

The two-day event is expected to attract over 3,000 attendees, with Crib International Sound System headlining the entertainment line-up. The launch offered an exclusive preview of what this year’s festival will entail, highlighting the rich talents and cultural beauty of Sierra Leone.

Abdul Karim Jalloh, Chief Executive Officer of Explore Sierra Leone, emphasized that the launch would prepare vendors, DJs, and partners for the upcoming festivities.

“Hotel bookings range from $65 for standard rooms to $250 for presidential suites, catering to those seeking a full weekend experience. Grafton Spring Water, Rokel Commercial Bank, Orange Money, Mutzig, and 3 Axes Advertising are key sponsors, with Grafton Spring Water supplying free water to all attendees,” Jalloh announced.

Tickets are priced at NLe150 for a day pass and NLe500 for a two-day VIP experience. Jalloh added that Explore Sierra Leone has successfully organized over ten major events in both Sierra Leone and London.

Eugenia Betts, Human Resource and Operations Manager at Golden Beach Hotel, expressed delight in partnering for the festival, “we care about perfection, and we believe this event will be flawless,” she stated.

Moses Fahme, CEO of 3 Axes Advertising, commended Explore Sierra Leone’s management, urging more businesses and individuals to support the event.

“Partnering with Explore Sierra Leone is a vote of confidence in their vision, and we look forward to making this year’s festival a resounding success,” he added.
