Head Teacher of Eva Houston Preparatory and High School has boasted that her school is one of the best schools in the eastern part of Freetown, always recording 100% passes in public exams.
According to her, her candidates who wrote the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) scored excellent grades, same in the 2024 National Primary School Examinations (NPSE).
“In the NPSE exams, our pupils always score 100%, and in the just published BECE results, our star pupils scored aggregate 9. We have a series of others that scored aggregate of 10. We have taken national first position more than three times in both the NPSE and BECE. In the east, we lead and others follow,” she said.
She was speaking during a rally in celebration of the school’s 35 years of existence and providing excellent education to children of Thunder Hill, Kissy Mess-Mess, and its surroundings.
She explained that the rally was just one of the activities of the school’s 35 years celebrations. She encouraged parents to choose the school for a good foundation for their children.
She said school, which was established in 1989 as one of the first primary schools in the Thunder Hill Community, has produced great personalities in the country, including accountants, lawyers, medical doctors, engineers and many more.
During the launch of the 35-year celebration in September, the board chairman of the school, Emmanuel E. Sesay ESq highlighted the importance of the school celebration, adding that the launching is just one of the loaded activities they have for the 35th celebration.
He pointed out that the board has been working tirelessly for the improvement of the school and because of the hard work of the school administration, they have been able to meet all their financial obligations and ensuring that all their over 30 staff receive salary on time.
