Umaru Napoleon Koroma receiving the investors
20 Indian investors who landed at the Freetown International Airport have been warmly welcomed by the Deputy Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources, Umaru Napoleon Koroma.
The visitors, led by Indian business tycoon, humanitarian and author, Dr Opesh Singh of Opesh Group, are in Sierra Leone to explore and hold discussions with the Government of Sierra Leone on investment opportunities especially in the mining sector.
The visit was the outcome of a three-day conference held in the City of Jaipur Rajasthan in India where the Deputy Mines Minister brilliantly showcased Sierra Leone as an attractive investment destination. The Rajasthan conference attracted scores of business leaders and policy makers from Asia and around the globe, many of whom had expressed a desire to visit Sierra Leone and seek viable investment opportunities.
In the next few days, the team will engage several stakeholders in government and the private sector.
