Hawa Hunt has been place behind bars for allegedly  abusing Pfresident Bio and wife,Fatima Bio

Alicia Hunt, daughter of detained activist and social media commentator Hawa Hunt, has made a heartfelt plea to President Julius Maada Bio and First Lady Fatima Maada Bio, seeking clemency for her mother.

In an open letter addressed to the First Family, Alicia acknowledged the gravity of her mother’s words, which led to her imprisonment, and expressed deep remorse on her behalf. She pleaded for forgiveness, stating that her mother’s actions were never intended to cause harm but were rather a misstep in her advocacy efforts.

Hawa Hunt, known for her work as an activist, philanthropist, artist, reality TV star, and social media commentator, has been behind bars for over two months.

According to her daughter, this period of incarceration has taken a significant toll on Hunt’s mental and physical well-being, as well as on her family members, who reside in Canada.

“This has been an incredibly difficult time for us,” Alicia wrote. “We have endured sleepless nights worrying about her safety and well-being. My younger brother, Archer, who is only 16, has been struggling with depression, while my older brother, Samuel, and I are also finding it hard to cope. The absence of our mother has left a void in our lives, and we desperately need her back.”

Alicia also highlighted the emotional strain Hunt has faced, having spent Christmas, New Year, and her birthday in prison, far from her family.

She emphasized that her mother has had ample time to reflect on her actions and has learned the importance of expressing dissenting opinions without resorting to offensive language.

“She deeply regrets her words,” Alicia continued. “If we could turn back time, we would do anything to undo the pain caused. I am confident that my mother has learned from this experience and will never repeat such mistakes.”

In her appeal, Alicia implored the President and First Lady to grant Hunt a pardon, assuring them that the incident would not happen again. She expressed hope that clemency would allow her mother to reunite with her family and seek the medical care she needs.

As the plea gains attention, many await the government’s response to this emotional appeal for mercy and forgiveness.
