Cricket: Sierra Leone named 18-man squad ahead of World Cup Qualifier

Cricket Sierra Leone (CSL) has named its 18-man squad ahead of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup Africa Qualifier.

The tournament is scheduled for Lagos, Nigeria in 11 days with six nations, including the East African side Kenya and the host nation Nigeria all to battle.

All-rounder, Raymond Coker cut alongside, George Sesay, Alusine Turay, Ibrahim Sesay, Charles Kamara, Sahr Lebbie, Hassan Kanu, and James Bangura. Also in the squad are; Emmanuel Mansaray, David Halloway, Samuel Humper, Amidu Kamara, Michael Kabbia and Nyakeh John-Bull. Also included are; Aliya Kamara, Mohamed Turay, Daniel Lassayo and Joseph Marah

The selected squad will continue with major weekend trials until it is trimmed to the final 14.

Sierra Leone’s Under-19 Men’s side finished the ICC Men’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup  Africa Division 2 Qualifier as runners-up in Tanzania.
