In a laudable act of community development, African Global Logistics Limited (AGL) has donated educational materials to children in two seaside communities, Moa Wharf and Yakala, underscoring its commitment to fostering education and youth empowerment.
The donation, which included essential learning items such as notebooks, dictionaries, pens, pencils, rulers, and school bags, was valued at Le376,694 and Le254,621 respectively.
The initiative aims to provide children with the resources they need to excel academically and ease the burden on families struggling to meet educational expenses.
The effort forms part of AGL’s broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, designed to create lasting positive impacts in the communities where the company operates.

During the donation event, AGL representatives emphasized the transformative role of education in breaking the cycle of poverty and unlocking opportunities. An AGL spokesperson remarked:
“We believe every child deserves access to quality education. By providing those materials, we hope to empower students and inspire them to achieve their potential. Education is the foundation of growth and development, and we are honored to support this cause.”
Captain Fabjanko Kokan, AGL’s Regional Managing Director, reiterated the company’s dedication to education as a key pillar of human development. He stated:
“Education is the most powerful tool to drive change, not just in communities but across nations. The results may not be immediate, but over time, the impact will transform lives and societies.”
Captain Kokan encouraged other organizations to follow AGL’s example by supporting vulnerable communities and urged the beneficiaries to make the most of the opportunities provided.
