Accused remanded for possession of Kush

Foday Sesay has been remanded at Pademba Road Correctional Center after making his first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Court No1 in Freetown.

 Foday is facing two count charges of possession of cannabis sativa and unlawful possession of prohibited drugs without lawful authority, going against section 8 (a)of the national drug control Act 2008, Act No .10 of 2008.

According to the charge indictment on both counts, the accused was found in possession of four raps of cannabis sativa and twenty eight wraps of Kush without lawful authority on Thursday 5th December, 2024, at number 14 smith street Freetown.

When the charge was read and explained with no plea taken.

Defense counsel M.M vandie applied for bail application for and behalf of the accused person to prove the innocence of his client.

 Magistrate Kekura refuse bail and ordered his remand at the Male Correctional Center in Freetown. The case was adjourned to the 21st January, 2024. State   counsel A. Kamara is prosecuting the matter.
