ECOFEST, a festival often held at the end of the year, is well-known for gathering top entertainers from across Africa for performance in Sierra Leone.

According to the founder of the festival, popularly known as Kabaka, within the last five years, ECOFEST has brought 50 international artists into the country.

Organized in partnership with AYV Media Empire, this year’s ECOFEST Festival which begins the 20th and ends on the 21st December will feature a lineup of celebrated international artists, including Gyakie from Ghana, Tenin Drawara from Guinea, Oketchboy. They will perform along with local stars, such as Drizilik, Problem, Incredible JJ, Star Z and top comedians, showcasing the best in music and comedy talent from around Africa.

“We want people to know that it is only December 20th and 21st that you would be able to see Brain Jotter, Sabinus, Yemata and other stars,” Kabaka unveiled to journalists on Thursday.

“Let me say this, he added, this year holds the greatest promise.”

Kabaka said the coming ECOFEST is dubbed as ‘illumination,’ a festival of ECOWAS Nations aimed at showing love to African artists by bringing them together for performance.

He encouraged local entertainers to embrace the platform provided by the festival to showcase their talents and network with other stars across the Continent, saying “It is expedient to expose our talent to the international scene.”

Daniel Moore, AYV Marketing Manager described ECOFEST as a huge opportunity to network.

In addition to the performance by the artists and the laugh-out-loud moments with the comedians, the festival would also be emblazoned with a pageant show, (Miss ECOFEST) beauty competition. The winner will bag fifty thousand Leoneans (NLE50, 000) and a trip to Dubai.
