Harvest Christian College has on Saturday, November 16th conferred degrees, associate degrees, and diplomas on 22 graduates during its annual graduation ceremony.

The event marked a significant milestone for the graduates, their families, and the institution, symbolizing the culmination of years of dedication and hard work.

The graduates received qualifications in various theological disciplines, including Bachelor’s degrees in Theology and Christian Counseling, Associate degrees in Theology, and Diplomas in Theology.

In her welcome address, Rev. Millicent Fatima Abiordu Thompson, a graduating student, described the ceremony as more than a celebration—it was a rite of passage marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.

“Graduation is a testament to the hard work and determination of every graduate, as well as the unwavering support of our educators and families,” she said. Rev. Thompson expressed heartfelt gratitude to the college’s principal and lecturers for their dedication, guidance, and mentorship.

“You have not only imparted knowledge but also inspired and mentored us, shaping our capacity for ministry now and in the future,” she added.

She urged her fellow graduates to continue seeking knowledge, embracing challenges, and striving for excellence in their ministry journeys.

Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Josef Howard emphasized the spiritual responsibilities awaiting the graduates.

“God wants to use you to bring healing to the depressed and set captives free,” he said. Dr. Howard encouraged the graduates to remain mindful of their divine calling, urging them to know God, grow in their faith, go forth with purpose, and shine as examples of His teachings.

Rev. Jonathan N.T. Cobna-Davies, Principal of Harvest Christian College, commended the resilience of the graduating class, highlighting the varied journeys of students, some of whom spent six, four, or two years completing their studies.

“Seeing our graduates fulfill their academic and spiritual potential is a source of great pride,” he remarked.

Rev. Cobna-Davies acknowledged the contributions of the college’s founder and the unwavering commitment of its lecturers. He also announced a new milestone for the institution: accreditation from the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education and the Tertiary Education Commission to offer additional diploma courses.

He said starting January 2025, the college will introduce secular management programs alongside its ministry-focused courses.
