The Association of National Olympic Committee (ANOC) congratulates Ahmed Khanou who was recently announced as acting secretary general of the National Olympic Committee of Sierra Leone, and looks forward to working with him.
Ahmed Khanou, a season sports administrator, who is also the President of the Sierra Leone Volleyball Federation, replaces Joseph Nyande as scribe of the NOC/CGA-SLE.
ANOC President Robin Mitchell said:
“Dear Mr. Khanou, we would like to extend our warmest congratulations on your election as Secretary General of your National Olympic Committee.
We wish you all the best for the coming years and look forward to close cooperation for the
promotion and development of the Olympic movement.”
Khanou, has served as the Secretary General of the Sierra Leone Volleyball Federation before been elected as President.
Khanou has also served as Minister of Sports, and his vast experience in the field is expected to provide valuable guidance during this transitional phase.
