Hopeful: Dr.Ibrahim Bangura’s eyes on the ball

After crisscrossing the entire country, providing assorted food items to thousands of Muslims who observed the Holy Month of Ramadan, the leading contender for the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) flagbearer position, Dr.Ibrahim Bangura, has expressed his sincere gratitude to supporters across the political aisles for the warm welcome he received during his tour.

“Yet, from the far corners of Bonthe, Kailahun, and Kono to Koinadugu, Falaba, Bombali, Karene, Kambia, Kenema, Pujehun, Port Loko, Moyamba, Bo, Tonkolili, Western Rural, and Freetown, our growing membership and supporters have demonstrated unwavering commitment through generous giving, tireless effort, and moral support,” said the academic cum politician.

As a grateful personality with an attitude of humility and astute leadership acumen, Dr.Bangura echoed his appreciation to all those who supported his movement in diverse ways.

“I extend special thanks to the Women’s Resource Mobilisation and Strategy Development Team, and to our dedicated supporters and well-wishers in the diaspora who challenged and supported one another to ensure that we mobilise the required resources to reach all districts. Thank you very much. Your continued support is deeply appreciated, and the strong collaboration within our team shows that we are truly building a family, one that will only grow stronger with time.”

Having studied man and things with a vast knowledge in peace-building, he noted that, “I must acknowledge the initial challenge of uniting people from diverse backgrounds and political histories, particularly those who had once stood on opposing sides within the APC. Yet, by investing time in team-building and conflict prevention, we are beginning to see the fruits of our efforts—perfectly in line with our campaign’s motto: Heal, Unite, and Build.”

He concluded that, “As we pray for a united party and a country where everyone is treated with fairness and justice, regardless of ethnic or regional background, please allow me, on behalf of the entire team, to wish you continued strength, love and fulfilment in your spiritual journey. May God grant your prayers.”

As a  young and dynamic academic and politician,Dr.Bangura is on record as one of the opposition politicians who was welcomed in all nook and cranny of Sierra Leone. From the north/west to the ruling party stronghold of south/east,Dr.Bangura received unimaginable welcome in all the districts across the country, a testament of leader that cuts across all regions.
