Supreme Court slams injunction on Drivers’ Union election

President Alpha Bah scores goal in court

The Supreme Court of Sierra Leone has slammed an injunction in the pending matter between Alpha Amadu Bah ( President of the Motor Drivers and General Transport Workers Union) v. Mr. Abu Saidu.

The said order injuncted the parties, their agents or privies from conducting or participating in the conduct of any elections for the national executive of the Motor Drivers and General Transport Workers Union pending the hearing and determination of the action.

By a Notice of Motion dated the 20th November 2024, Alpha Amadu Bah (the President of the Motor Drivers and General Transport Workers Union) applied for consequential orders and for interim and/or Interlocutory injunction against the interference or meddling of external parties in the conduct of the election of the executive of the Drivers Union.

This matter stands adjourned to Wednesday, 26th March 2025.
