152 pharmaceutical proprietors across the 5 Regions in Sierra Leone have on the above dates appeared before the Pharmacy Board of Sierra Leone(PBSL)’s Disciplinary Committee.

The hearings which took place in Freetown, Bo, and Makeni were presided over by the representative of the Attorney General, Thomas Joe Freeman Esq, who doubles as the Chairman of the Committee. He was joined by the Registrar and the head of the Enforcement and Narcotic Department at PBSL.

Among other things, fines were levied on defaulters according to the violations committed. For the professionals that were absent, strict warning was given and the Chairman highlighted that a third time will lead to revocation of their licenses.

The Registrar of PBSL, Dr. James P. Komeh, ordered the Officers in charge of PBSL branch offices in the Provinces to wait on a decision that will be taken by the Board Members against the premises of all proprietors who were invited to appear before the committee but failed to do so.
