100 GTB Customers benefit from six month ‘Kip for D Bambay’ Promo

Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) concluded its six-month ‘Kip for D Bambay’ Reloaded Promotion on Friday, March 14, 2025, with a grand finale draw, awarding four motorcycles (okadas) as top prizes and essential household items to 96 lucky customers.

The campaign, launched in June 2024, was designed to reward loyal customers while promoting a savings culture and financial preparedness. To qualify for the monthly and grand draws, customers were required to deposit between NLe 250 and NLe 25,000 and use a GTB Mastercard at least three times per month.

Speaking at the prize presentation ceremony at GTB’s head office on Wilberforce Street, Freetown, GTB Manager Ade Adebiyi reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to transparency and customer appreciation.

“Throughout this campaign, we have rewarded our customers with essential items such as rice and cooking oil. Today, we take it a step further by offering bigger prizes to celebrate their continued loyalty,” he stated.

Adebiyi expressed gratitude to GTB customers, emphasizing that their trust and support had made the promotion and the bank’s overall success possible.

 He assured customers that similar initiatives would continue in the future as a demonstration of the bank’s commitment to their financial well-being.

He also acknowledged the dedication of GTB staff, whose hard work ensured the smooth execution of the ‘Kip for D Bambay’ Reloaded Promotion.

According to Victor Cleveland, head of retail banking GTB, over past six months, the campaign selected 96 monthly winners 16 each month who received household essentials such as 25kg and 50kg bags of rice, two gallon vegetable cooking oil, and five gallon vegetable cooking oil, plus the  grand prize presentation of four ‘okada’ recognizing 100 winners respectively.

‘’Instead of a single luxury prize like a car, GTB awarded four motorcycle in the final December draw, which can help to broaden community impact, but most importantly, we wanted to touch more lives,” he explained.

This he further explained that the ‘’Okada’’ could be used for personal errands but more so, to generate income through which it could help in uplifting entire households.

‎ Cleveland highlighted the importance of saving and stressed the institution’s long term vision of listening to customers, adapting and maintaining strong relationships, adding that, the promotion was part of the bank’s broader commitment to financial empowerment and societal impact.

Aminata Wurie Fomolu, one of the luckey winners and the only female  winner of Kip for D Bambai’’ promotion who won a motorcycle, revealed that she has been banking with the bank since 2012 during her time at the university, citing that, she was excited when she got the news that she had won a brand new motorcycle from GTB.

She stated that her dedication banking with GTB has paid off, urging readers and listeners to join the GTB so they can experience the beauty of banking. According to unisa Thoranka, another winner, expressed his gratitude to GTB, emphazing how the promotion goes beyond just reward as it has instilled a culture of saving that will benefit him and many others in a long run.
